What if season 2 starts off with how much Mako and Korra fights, how unhappy they are after the fear of losing one another to the war is gone.  A showing of how similar it could of been in the ending relationship with Tenzin and Lin. They show a back story as Lin and Korra have bonding time as she tells korra about what happened.
